The Community Hub - helping you make a difference

We’re thrilled to launch the new Community Hub, the Alcohol and Drug Foundation’s new one-stop-shop for advice and inspiration to reduce alcohol and drug harms.

The new site is full of evidence-based articles, as well as stories of our Local Drug Action Teams and the difference they are making across Australia.

We hope you enjoy this free, informative and practical resource - and that it helps you engage your community to help reduce the 4,186+ deaths and 75,772 hospitalisations caused by alcohol and other drugs in Australia each year.

Here’s just some of the resources we have available:

  • Adelaide Metro South LDAT - Building on the success of its first Community Action Plan, the Adelaide Metro South LDAT is taking a whole-of-community approach to reduce the incidence of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) in Onkaparinga.

Resources to help you develop your program

LDAT programs require a lot of planning and evaluation to assist in their success and we’re here to help!

We have a number of handy resources and guidance for every stage.

  • Alcohol and Other Drugs Lifecycle Planner - Guide your project from start to finish. This free, printable planner takes you through each step along the way, for all age groups.
  • Evaluation Matrix - You’ve started an activity. Great! But how can you tell if it’s working? The Hub takes you through each step of evaluation.
  • Promoting a project - Heroes from the community deserve to be highlighted! The Hub has a really useful article on how to do this with social media.

If that’s not enough, we also regularly update the Community Hub with informative and helpful content, to keep in the loop sign up to our newsletter.
